NO MAJOR TIME YET

since last post we didn’t had any major time to work on some music, only small parts were created … ok we got a new concept for another track what we did last friday, but we have so much, we have too much … some of those are really old and we didn’t finished it yet. so we are fighting with this process on and on … this friday I will get some beer and take my bottle of whiskey and will work on that new track I made last week. it could be a track out of the 80′s … I’m sure it will be on the next ep.

when I look at the counter of our latest release, I’m very satisfied with it … we got almost 2.000 downloads and we hope we can keep it up. looking forward how well the next ep will do. all I can say so far, it will be different than light bar syndrome.

WHATS NEXT!?

so whats next … we definitely going to work on another ep, we already have some tracks together … songs which we made months ago. but we also have lots of new ones … so probably we only going to release those. we have so much different ideas, hopefully we can finish every single one. so be prepared for another ep which will be released in spring. we also thinking to release lots of tracks on soundcloud … but we are not sure about that.

right now while mike is working on some music for our next ep, i’m working on some beats for a side-project with a good old friend “chill clinton” … nothing fancy yet, cause we are still searching for the sound and the vibe.

lately i’m listening to some zzt music, which gave me an idea to rework the track “push it” which i finished months ago. perhaps i will release it as a single. we will see.

so we got lots of plans for next year, but like we said weeks ago … we don’t wanna rush! by the way, listen to our latest tune “technicolor highway” a b-side track of our latest ep.

FEW DAYS LEFT + 7 TRACK EP!

so we finally going to release the ep by the end of next week and decided to keep going making ep records. we already have some tracks finished for the next one … and another one. whatever … this ep is going to be the first release that we are going to publish through a netlabel called “kreislauf organization”, thanks to our friend lucky mike giving us the advise. we are looking forward for more hits, more plays, more downloads and offcourse more fans. we will see how everything turns out.

well, fours days ago I finished mastering four tracks … and the next couple days I will finish the other half. so yeah, a seven track ep … our biggest release after four years. we dont have a tracklisting yet, but this is our minor problem now.

WE ARE ALMOST THERE!

we are almost done with our EP … the newest track is (or should I say old tune) is almost done … just added some minor parts, but still can’t decide how to end this track. I made a concept long time ago, I would say around spring time, it had the vibe and the sound i really liked … but I was not satisfied to write this down on our list of our full lenght LP. Thats how the idea came up to make an EP … and we kinda like this idea, so in the future we will bring out lots of EP records. Thats how we can explore new sounds, experiment with new elements and we can make sure all new tracks are on the same page. And of course we can release more tracks.

this ep will contain four new tracks and the style of it is just amazing … while working on the ep, we made lots of new tunes, probably some of those will be added to our LP and some will be released on future EPs. Mike will finish his brand new track this upcoming weekend, so do I … so there will be nothing stopping us to release the Light Bar Syndrome EP in November. Just to give you a little hint, it will be nothing you ever heard from us … it’s something totally new, something you can look forward to … no big beat, no breakbeat … we just mixed some ambient with house and some experimentell sounds.

I will write another blog entry as soon as mike sends me his song.

LIGHT BAR SYNDROME IS COMING!

Our next release is called “Light Bar Syndrome: Tease For A Please” and will contain three or four new tracks … it could be that we will add one or two songs more. Last couple years we made so much tracks for our next big masterpiece, that we want to share some with you guys before we finish and release it. We have thrown out lot’s of new tracks, scratched it from the list and even deleted some. It’s the same procedure like the last time we have created Coming Out The Box Swinging, we work so long on one of our projects, till we are both satisfied. We just wanna create something new, something fresh and something we can live with it. Lot’s of other artists, djs and bands these days are coming up with those minimal sound alá Paul Kalkbrenner … this is something we don’t wanna do. Expect something new, something not copied.

And this is why We take our time while doing music, we don’t wanna rush things up … and since we have lot’s of other projects going on and working on our jobs for a living, it could take awhile for us releasing some new music. We are also living on two diferrent continents since three years that makes working on our music even harder.

Our EP “Light Bar Syndrome: Teasing For A Pleasing” will be the first release after a long time … the beats are greater, the melodies sturdier and the quality much better. We progressed and you will find it out when we release our EP. Soon we are going to publish the tracklisitng for it and the status of Light Bar Syndrome.

We are also not setting a release date anymore … we release our music when we feel like to upload it to the internet.

UPDATE #4

So I got two weeks left to finish some of my tracks … til me and the nut will have our jam session. There are still lots of unfinished tracks … and only one or two of those tracks will be ready for the journey. After two years we have made so much tracks, that after awhile we changed the whole sound of the record. Most tracks we have made so far are trip hop songs … so we definitely going to make some big-beat tracks in a few weeks. Lots of our unfinished beats and tracks will be used for future projects, cause most of them are just great and definitely not worth to delete it. 

We still don’t know yet when we release the new record, but we see the light at the end of the tunnel. And before that masterpiece hits the internet, we are going to upload an EP … perhaps in July or in August.

BETTER AND GREATER!

Finally … after few weeks of stressfull work, I finished a new track which is still untitled … don’t know how to call it. It’s such a great song … such a great beat, it has so much details … it’s definitely a track you will listening over and over again. Each song we have created so far, are very hard to explain … you will find out when we release the record. Going to meet the nut in two month … going to talk about the upcoming record, song titles, shooting one or two covers, working on our next project and probably work on some tracks. Since we made 7 or 8 versions of the track “Push It”, we will probably work on a part II, cause on of the first versions we have made … is so damn ridiculous great. I’m already working on the next track … same technique … so powerfull!

Beyond Your Control – EP

So whats going on … well, not much! We thought the other day to release a EP this upcoming summer, which is named “Beyond Your Control” and it will be a little taste for our forthcoming record. We decided to release one, cause not all of our new tracks will fit on our new record … we have made so much new tracks and there are more to come. We have already an idea for the cover … perhaps we will shoot both covers in june. We are also planning on to start our newest project this summer … hopefully it will turn out great.

UPDATE #3

Just finished another new track! Something totally new. Well, last couple weeks we didn’t worked on our current material or on new tracks for our record, cause the nut is currently taking a break, but should get back on track by the beginning of next year and I was lately working with Lucky Mike on our newest side-project. Made lots of beats, some are good and some are … well, not that great! I already made six new beats in the last 2 days … and we already made some little arrangments of some beats. We don’t know yet how we should call our project and if we do an EP or a Long Player … we will see, we just try to lay down some tracks.

To come back to the upcoming BYC record … we definitely going to rename the record and will do the artwork in spring. Lot’s of new tracks are done and some tracks aren’t finished yet. Not sure yet, but probably there will be 18 tracks on the record.

Early next year, there will be more infos about our record and my side-project with Lucky Mike. Make sure you join us on facebook, to get some little tiny updates.

UPDATE #2

Yesterday we received our new equipment … nothing huge, just one korg nanokontrol and nanopad. Because it was so late last night, we only jammed for about 5 minutes or so. Whatever … the nanopad is great, it’s just a simple tiny great controller … just a briliant tool to lay down beats. We sadly couldn’t jam around with the nanokontrol … we still have to figure it out how to get the controller linked to the effects, pattern or mixer. Looking forward to build some great tunes with those new little toys. We are also planning on to get the launchpad in a few weeks.

Lately we found some great forgotten beats and unfinished tunes we made for the upcoming record … we are probably going to use some of those beats or melodies. Another new track is almost done, it’s a nice, smooth, chillaxing track. Such a cool style. We got so much unfinished tracks waiting for us, it’s like The Neverending Story. Cause everytime we are going to compose a new tune, we are automatically working on another track at the same time … cause we have so much ideas flowing in our heads around. It’s not a bad thing, but also not a good thing.

Couple weeks ago, we finished a new tune called “Push It” and we were listening to the track a lot of times … so we might change the track again. This will be the eight or ninth version.

Lucky Mike still has to finish his part on two tracks, soon as we get that done we’ll share it with you.
